Understanding Your Relationship Blueprint
Jennifer Clark speaks with Diane Valiquette; founder of The Separation and Divorce Resource Centre in Ottawa. Diane is a professional mediator as well as a relationship facilitator.
Diane talks about the process people go through when a marriage dissolves and what are some of the things people go through in order to heal, grow and move forward into wholeness. Especially when kids are involved, it is important for couples to stay united in being the best parents they can be in separate families.
Grief is normal and takes time. It can take 3 to 5 years to go through the grief of a breakup even if new relationships are already being formed. Diane says it is important to respect the time that is needed. These life transitions are not finished quickly.
Diane will be speaking at the upcoming Healing Through Grief event on September 16, 2017.
